Installation and configuration

Before you install Autodesk Revit 2019, close all applications.

Pre-Requisites

Mogali rekulu serial. The Revit 2019 installer includes five new pre-requisites, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7, Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable (x64), Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86), Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x64), and Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86). These are installed in addition to the following historical Revit pre-requisites including Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x64 and x86), Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable (x64 and x86), Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable (x64 and x86), and Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64 and x86).

Supported Operating Systems

Revit 2019 installations are blocked on systems running older versions of Windows 10 (Version 1507/Build 10240 and Version 1511/Build 10586) that do not support Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7. If you are running one of these versions of Windows 10, you'll need to upgrade to a newer version before installing Revit 2019.

Install or uninstall may fail if content is on a shared network location using a mapped drive

When installing or uninstalling, the procedure may fail if content had been redirected to a shared network location using a mapped drive. To prevent this error set the User Access Control in the Windows Control Panel to Never Notify.

Custom folder in deployments

In the Autodesk Revit 2019 Deployment Wizard, the Path for Configurable Folders allows you to specify a custom folder in which to copy content files. If you specify a folder location that has Read Only permission at the user level according to the Microsoft Windows User Access Control, then Autodesk Revit may become unstable. To avoid this, ensure that you have Write permission on your Microsoft Windows machine when creating your deployment with the Custom Folder option.

Roaming profiles in a networked environment

It is recommended that Autodesk Revit is installed from the same deployment when installing to multiple computers in a networked environment. This ensures each user's roaming profile is properly initialized when the user logs into different servers.

If a non-deployment install is utilized to configure multiple servers, each user's roaming profile settings are restored to the default values as the user logs into different servers. To resolve this, use these steps:

    1. On the first server, locate the file Revit.ini in the folder: C:ProgramDataAutodeskRVT 2019UserDataCache

    2. Copy the InstallGUID value. For example: InstallGUID={AC00A40D-0386-400C-82DC-86818C5027F6}

    3. On each of the other servers in the network, locate the Revit.ini file and replace the InstallGUID value with the value copied from the first server.

The first task you need to complete is to make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements. If your system does not meet these requirements, problems can occur, both within Autodesk Revit and at the operating system level.

Refer to the hardware and software requirements.

Feature limitations and notes

  • In Autodesk Revit 2017 and previous releases, a UK Terminology option was available to enable the use of the British English in Revit. For Autodesk Revit 2019, this option was removed because British English is now a supported language in the Revit installer. Users that want to use the British English in Revit should select British English from the Installation Instructions drop down on the initial Revit installation page.
  • In Autodesk Revit 2014 and previous releases, the program and content files were installed as part of a single installation package. For Autodesk Revit 2019, the installation of content files has been broken out into a separate installation package, Autodesk Revit Content Libraries 2019. Program related installation settings, including desktop shortcut, discipline, and project path, remain part of the original Autodesk Revit 2019 installation package while content related installation settings, including content packs, default content, and configurable folders, are now associated with the Autodesk Revit Content Libraries 2019 installation package.
  • The Autodesk Revit Content Libraries repair process will not restore missing content files. If you need to restore missing content files, running the Autodesk Revit Content Libraries reinstall process will accomplish this goal.
  • If the default content setting is modified through the Revit Content Libraries add or remove features process, the UserDataCache and user profile copies of the Revit.ini file are not updated to reflect this change. Running the Autodesk Revit repair process ensures that both copies of the Revit.ini file are updated to reflect the new default content selection.
  • Refer to the online Autodesk Revit 2019 Release Notes document for details on the customer incidents resolved within this release.

Autodesk Ecotect Analysis is an environmental analysis tool that allows designers to simulate buildingperformance from the earliest stages of conceptual design. It combinesanalysisfunctions with an interactive display that presents analytical results directlywithin the context of the building model.

In June 2008, Ecotect was acquired by Autodesk from Square One Research and adds to an array of tools that augment the Revit BIM environment. Ecotect is different from other analysis tools in that it targets the earliest stages of design, a time when simple decisions can have far-reaching effects on the final project.

An engagement with simulation and analysis at a time when the design is sufficiently ‘plastic’ and able to respond is critical to achieving the performance demanded of modern buildings.

Effective March 20, 2015, new licenses to Ecotect Analysis software are no longer available for purchase from the Autodesk website. Autodesk is going to integrate functionality similar to Ecotect Analysis into the Revit product family. The aim is reportedly to allow Autodesk to shift resources, maximizing development efforts on BIM and cloud-based solutions for building performance analysis and visualization.[1]
